I have most of my stuff in shared hosting as well these days. Can't really complain about it. I have one or two compression bombs salted around my sites for the really determined bots running around out there but so far a pretty extensive blocklist in .htaccess has been sufficing. I'm kind of surprised that hosting providers aren't offering stuff like Miasma (https://github.com/austin-weeks/miasma), go-away (https://git.gammaspectra.live/git/go-away), or iocaine (https://git.madhouse-project.org/iocaine/iocaine) as a service to their customers. Then again, many providers have business arrangements with Cloudflare, which would preclude that. -- The Doctor [412/724/301/703/415/510] WWW: https://drwho.virtadpt.net/ My code, of course, begins with 4GH.
