If you could attach your consultants resume with your response, I will review it and give you a call to discuss.* ** Sr. SQL DBA Sacramento, CA Long term (up to 3 yrs) Rate - open Our client has a long-term (up to 3 years) Sr. SQL Database Administrator contract opening. Our client, has many production databases and associated servers. Additionally, there are many associated non-production environments (e.g. prototyping, development, testing) available. Many teams have their own, personal set of databases in some of the nonproduction environments. The size and diversity of this environment provides unique challenges, even small tasks are not simple, straightforward operations. Typically, it is necessary to perform a lengthy series of tasks which vary subtly with each database. The Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) is expected to integrate into the existing team, resolving customer request, as well as providing guidance and mentoring to the other database administrators. The Senior SQL Server DBA is expected to provide expert guidance within the SQL Server database administration area. The contract personnel will be required to mentor, train and develop staff in processes and procedures of a SQL Server database administrator as well as to provide suggestions for improvements to client's SQL Server environments. The contract personnel will be required to follow and use client methodologies, including change management, system development lifecycle (SDLC), etc. *This position requires::* • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Experience as a DBA for Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 and 2005 in both clustered and non-clustered Environments The Contractor's Proposed Personnel should have a *minimum of five (5) years of Senior SQL Server DBA* experience that includes the following listed activities: • *Experience as a DBA for Microsoft's SQL Server 2008* • Create, modify, and tune databases and files • Overall performance tuning • Database and file sizing and monitoring • Problem resolution as required in providing 24x7 support • System documentation • Database design review • Storage management • Production monitoring • Backup and recovery • Other database administration related duties The Contractor's Proposed Personnel should have demonstrated experience using the following listed products and features: • *SQL Server Reporting Services* •* Windows 2003* • *TOAD (for SQL Server) *• *SQL Server encryption* • *Familiarity with cross domain networks* • *Familiarity with n-tier architecture* Thanks and Regards, Gloria Kristein CG-VAK Software USA Inc. 1661, Tice Valley Blvd,Suite # 101,Walnut Creek, CA-94595.
