(Ubuntu is OK) Nop. I have tried that too, long time ago. Nothing works yet. I have read many pages on Internet about this issue and tried several things. But for the moment not the correct one. When you run start-pulseaudio-x11 makes some progress: Before, alsamixer could not find the soundcard. After start-pulseaudio-x11 alsamixer sees the card and controls the volumes. But still no sound. Sound does not work with dtlogin. It is not a dtlogin bug, but it does not work on linux. Isaac suggested something (about a dtlogin.conf file) but this is beyond my capabilities.
