At work, Ubuntu 10.04LTS, with static IP. [atsol@myria ~]$ ps aux | grep ttsession | grep -v grep atsol 5698 0.0 0.0 2756 1156 ? S 12:33 0:00 /bin/bash -c echo 'not execing /home2/atsol/.profile (see /home2/atsol/.dtprofile)'; ??? unset DT; ??? /usr/dt/bin/dtdbcache -init; PATH=/usr/dt/bin:$PATH /usr/dt/bin/ttsession -s; /usr/dt/bin/dtsession > /dev/null 2>&1 [atsol@myria ~]$
But desktop suddenly can not connect to ToolTalk. I removed /usr/dt/ /var/dt/ /etc/dt/ $HOME/.dt/ $HOME/.dtprofile Re-installed. Nothing works as it worked. Checked the processes. There were many rpc.ttdbserver processes running. I killed them all and stopped and started rpcbind. Verify it runs in insecure mode: [root@myria atsol]# ps aux | grep rpc root 8697 0.0 0.0 2284 876 ? Ss 12:44 0:00 /sbin/rpcbind -w -i root 10019 0.0 0.0 3360 828 pts/17 S+ 12:46 0:00 grep --color=auto rpc daemon 30314 0.0 0.0 11664 2940 ? Ss 12:16 0:00 rpc.cmsd [root@myria atsol]# Desktop starts with the black screen, then turns to blue, no dthello, and then panel starts and messages about no tooltalk service. What is going on...?
