I bet you are running on 64bit linux. And you've just found why libtirpc is not enabled by default :-) It has problems on 64bit systems (see commit 1d8f86a6ba1a7018e06061ba929b49771aa1ba2f). To be more precisely: libtirpc runs fine with dtcm even on 64bit, but it breaks tooltalk.
