Yes, I did use GCC. If you look at my
shell output below you can see that I specified CC=gcc47 on the
command line. Is this not enough? Do I need to tweak some
configuration files? I should not need to do that, as I am surely
not the first to try a build on FreeBSD 10.
Anyone else who is using FreeBSD 10 as a build platform for CDE
2.2.1?

I have successfully build CDE on Ubuntu 12.04. As I am normally a BSD
user, I tried to build CDE on my box running FreeBSD 10 according to the
instructions on the Wiki. I am sure that I am not the only one trying to
build CDE on FreeBSD 10.
However, the builds fails immediately with the following error below.
Can anybody point me to the source of the problem?

I hope you checked the configuration parameters in ./config/cf
to see if you need to pass BOOTSTRAPCFLAGS.
