I updated the LTSP wiki page. I wouldn't write this message if I hadn't found a feature I did not know it existed.
When we have a control in a subpanel that watches a file and the file changes CDE notifies us for the change by painting the subpanel arrow yellow and by putting a vertical yellow bar to the the left of the icon of the control inside the subpanel. I can not find this feature in the CDE user guide. Check the LTSP notes in the wiki and my screenshots there.
