Hi all,
I wanted to run this by the community to get everyone's thoughts on it before
commits start being made;I think that discontinued unixes should start being
removed from the code to decrease bloat, this would include UXP, OSF1 and
UnixWare, UXP hasn't been updated since 1999, OSF1 was discontinued in 2012,
and UnixWare has since moved their code base to be FreeBSD based, so removing
the old UnixWare bits would not really effect their current offerings, though I
could give Xinuos a courtesy email just to make sure nothing breaks on their
side. There also may be some remnants of ultrix, irix, and others that we could
dispose of. These unixes seemingly have no chance of being revived and the
companies that developed them are seemingly unable or unwilling to open source
them, therefore, I think that they should be removed, thoughts from everyone
else? Does anyone in this mailing list still use any of these platforms? If so,
why and what for? Could you do a migration if need be?

Thank you for your time,
-Chase
