Hi,
So -- it has been awhile since our last release. I'd like to prepare
for a new release in about 2 weeks, to give time for any patches people
want to submit beforehand.
Once done, I then want to essentially 'rip the bandaid off' and merge
autotools-conversion into master.
Currently in the autotools branch, the only things not currently working
are dtinfo and the documentation (manpage and help). So, that means
when that happens, master may not be 'fully complete' for awhile until
those tasks are finished or otherwise dealt with.
I am just tired of having to keep these branches synchronized, dealing
with the inevitable merge conflicts, and a whole host of related things
that make this more and more time consuming to maintain.
In addition it's time for people to start actually using this branch and
cleaning up any rough edges, and I am sure there will be some.
If this is not for you, then you can stick with the released tarball
(and/or related tag) of the upcoming release until it is.
