Hi all,

in the last few days, I finally got around to new CDK release, and
released a stable 1.2.5 bug fix release, and a developers 1.3.2
release:

As I promise in the first blog, to Noel who asked about it, for
example, I will soon write up a changelog which is more like a What's
New?, instead of a basic dump. The above lists have to do for now.

Regarding when 1.4.x will be released, the next stable series after
1.2.x, based on the 1.3.x development series, here are some goals:

- include CDK-JChemPaint (patch for CDK 1.3.2 is available as
CDK-JChemPaint patch 3 on SourceForge)
- SMSD by Asad (EBI)
- Resource Description Framework IO
- new IChemObjectBuilder technology (more modular)
- get at least three more module stable
- bring down the number of unit tests fails to below 75

And anything else we can squeeze in before those two are done (ideas
most welcome!). Perhaps port the pKa predictor from Ambit, or the UFF
force field from Jmol? I also hope we'll the a patch for the signature
code by Gilleain.

So, about the ETA? I am hoping early summer, at least before the 10th
anniversary in September this year :) But the above goals are somewhat
ambitious.

Egon
