I am using this Email address since it seems to be the only one that remotely comes close to getting to Sun Microsystems--or someone knows how. So this is out of your area--but searching the elegant Sun site was not helpful.

Please forward to me and the relevant Sun people to contact me--and their appropriate URL, address, or whatever:

Simple, but annoying problem.  AOL can't fix it (they have an idea), MS won't touch it, so maybe Sun knows it's own _javascript_ foibles.

I have set up a Dual Boot.

When, and only when, I use MS 2000--and only when I use the AOL MS Explorer WITHIN AOL, I get all types of freaky [what I think] is _javascript_ errors all over the windows with repeat panels, and real screw ups. Can't go backwards/or forwards in net searches, this _javascript_ shows up in all windows and messes up everything.  DOES NOT happen when I use Win 98SE.  Nada, never, none.  Does not happen when I use straight up MS Explorer on its own.

AOL says they run an "abbreviated" selected form of MS Explorer--and that this is where the error "may" be.  To reinstall MS Explorer (I did, didn't work)--and why an external reinstall of MS Explorer would fix and internal MS Explorer IN AOL is beyond even a very naive person like myself.

Someone else says 'Turn off' _javascript_.  Sure, why not turn off the Earth rotating.

I am way way out of my league.  In the world of AOL, MS and Sun, I am about as low as a janitor in getting into this.  Some things I can fix in MS programs, etc.

No reason Sun should care what happens in MS or AOL programs, but alliances in Silicon Valley are interesting.

Please forward this to the appropriate Sun people, copy to me, so I can resolve this.

It all started because I have a copy of MS 2000 Professional which is supposed to be like MS XP.  And since I have an aversion to giving more $$ to MS than needed, and wanted to "experience" XP--without paying for highway robbery--I set up a smoothly running Dual Boot.  Supposedly, 2000/XP runs programs better simultaneously--although truthfully, I can't tell the difference vs. Win 98SE.  Maybe, I need to bite the bullet and max out the RAM.

Can you help.  I've already ordered both revs. of OpenOffice, and am getting nervous about this undercurrent of coding wars between MS and Sun which I might drop into.  Need to clear up this " "_javascript_" " annoying errors which make it impossible to troll the net under W 2000.  I like to try out new stuff, but until now, Sun has not been out there for us peons.

Thanks for what help you can do for me.
