Default.html is actually a hangover from the 1.1.x series. It was originally
intended to lead to an HTML setup guide (very basic).

Simply because there are no other operating systems which can use an
autostart. I looked into the possibilities for some sort of autorun under
Linux, but there is none. The only way to do it would be to re-write the
'mount' command, or patch the supermount module in the source. Even then, few
linux users make use of supermount for CD-ROMs.

I'll fix that for the nest version....

I decided that since the licenses are an integral part of the new installers,
there was no real need for them in a separate folder. Unfortunately I forgot
to remove the empty folder.

Well, it's really that there is no installer for the Extras. It could perhaps
be used to fire up a page describing what is on the CD and where to install
them, perhaps with some Javascript and a batch file to do the actual
installation.

Shellrun.exe is used in conjunction with autorun.inf to start whatever program
you want to run. It used to be used on the 1.x.x series to start IE and
display default, html. I've left it there for possible later use.

And that is probably why the 2.0.1 Extras CD is larger than the 2.0.0
version... I'll take a look at them on my Windows box, perhaps the .exe will
install, not just unpack the clip art....

I've contemplated removing the dictionaries entirely, and relying on the user
to use DicOO instead. What do you think?

They will work. When I have a little more time, I'll do a batch conversion of
all the templates int the new OpenDocument Template format....

Depends in which OS you have. I use Mandriva 2006, and simply place all the
files as I want them in a separate directory of my disk, then use k3b (which
is a KDE app) and drag them into the pane. Then I simply open the burning
dialog, and check the "Create Image only" box, and click the Start button...

Under Gnome, you could use one of the other front-ends to mkisofs (X-CDRoast
is good).

Under Windows, I assume the procedure is the same, using something like Nero
or similar.
