Hi all,I need more help with LWE Boston and SF. In a nutshell, putting this event on has been a lot more expensive than I ever imagined. Yes, Kyle is helping out tremendously with donating CDs but there are other costs and they are not tiny, at least not by my standards. Getting a new banner, for instance, cost money; printing colour brochures costs--a lot. Even receiving shipments cost money. It all adds up.
Sun is not paying for this event. The community, as understood by those who have sent in contributions to Team OpenOffice.org, will be the ones paying for most of it, though I'll probably end up paying for a hefty amount.
So, I'm asking you directly: If you can donate any amount to OOo, please do so. Make your contribution to Team OpenOffice.org. You can find information on how to do so at http:// contributing.openoffice.org/donate.html.
