Hi.
Steve here again from Kindways Ltd.
Our auctions have stopped and our upload facilities suspended due to
selling open office.
Last time this happened it was because a rouge trader was claiming to
be the copyright holder (or some vero person was abusing the system)
and was getting other sellers kicked off.
I had this Problem last year and Alex helped me out. I have been
informed by ebay that I can not list these items unless the copyright
holder contacts ebay to say its ok to do so.
If I re-list we will be banned again, last year this took 6 weeks to
resolve, so I have to follow the guideline below and contact you
(openoffice) and ask why you have stopped these listings (if you still
think that your listing was removed in error, please contact the
rights owner and let them know.
)
My adverts do already contain the following line :
My distribution rights can be confirmed by Alex Fisher who is
registered with eBay under the VeRO program and can be contacted
directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or via the Copyright, Trademark, and
Other Intellectual Property Rights Owner About Me Pages .
Please help, Pleas Advise
KIndest regards
Steve
Ebay says:
Dear kwcomp,
Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. Unfortunately, these items
breached one or more of our policies and had to be removed from the site:
120145053162 - Open Office 2007: Microsoft XP~Vista~Word Compatible
Why was your listing removed?
You may not list unauthorised copies of media on our site because
selling them is both illegal and against eBay policy. Unauthorised
copies include (but are not limited to) backup, pirated, duplicated,
or bootlegged copies of software, video games, music, films,
television programs, photographs and books, both published and
unpublished.
Copyright owners possess the exclusive right to reproduce their
copyrighted work, to distribute copies of their copyrighted work, and
to perform or display their copyrighted work publicly.
Guideline: If the product you are selling is a copy of another work
that you aren't authorised to copy, don't list the item.
Review of this listing indicates that the item offered appears to be
an unauthorised copy. Due to security around eBay's review processes,
the indicating factors cannot be disclosed.
For more information visit the following Help page:

EBay has restricted your ability to list new items because your
account breached one of our policies. To lift this restriction simply
complete the policy tutorial that pops up the next time you sign-in to
your eBay account. Once you've completed it, you can begin listing
again immediately.
We appreciate your membership of our community, so please keep in mind
that repeatedly listing items that breach our policies may lead to the
suspension of your account.
Here's what to do if you have further questions:
1) To find out more about our intellectual property policies and VeRO
take eBay's brief tutorial by copying this link into a new browser window:

2) You may also find it useful to read the "Why eBay May Remove Your
Listing" Help page by copying this link into a new browser window:

3) If your item was ended by the VeRO programme, and you think the
listing was removed in error have a look at the rights owner's About
Me page to review their infringement policies. Then, if you still
think that your listing was removed in error, please contact the
rights owner and let them know.
If you still have questions after reading this information, you can
contact eBay by clicking "Contact Us" on any eBay Help page.
We hope that this information clarifies why your item was removed and
we thank you for your cooperation.
