Hi,
Can I direct this email to Andy Shiels and other administrators of
OpenOffice.org
Andy, I am asking to gain permission to distribute Open Office on CD Rom.
My details as follows.
* The name of your company and its website address, if any
o BuildnQuote www.buildnquote.com
* The purpose of the company (what it does)
o Sells a software program to builders
* Who you are and your relation to the company
o Robin Guymer. I am the owner of the business and the
designer of the program.
I currently sell a program that runs on Calc. I sell this by download as
well as occasionally on CD. I am a bit confused as to what Open Office
files should be on the CD. The OO web pages talk of ISO images of the
files but I have just been including the latest Windows and Linux
installer file as downloaded directly from www.openoffice.org. From
viewing other messages in this list you appear to advise some
distributors to do this anyway.
I am looking to have a fair number of CD-Roms professionally replicated
and wish to include the OO installer files for Win and Linux on them.
However the replication company have asked for some antipiracy
documentation to be filled out. So an approval by return email may not
suffice. I have attached the documentation for your consideration and
ask if you could give me some direction as to who to contact and how to
meet these requirements.
Hope you can assist me with this matter and I look forward to your reply.
With thanks
Robin Guymer
