Hi Anna. May I first make one thing very clear. Neo Office is NOT OpenOffice.org (OO.o), and has nothing to do with us.
It is instead an "port" of OO.o to make it run under Java. At one time that was the only way OO.o could run on a Mac without using X11. Since the introduction of OO.o 3.0, however, OO.o now runs natively (without the need of X11). Last I heard, Neo Office was still stuck on 2.4, in other words it was still using an outdated version. We would be quite happy for you to include the official OO.o with your publication. Since it is licensed under the LGPL, htere is no problem with licensing, and you could take this as a formal OK if you wished. One question though - do you want only the Mac installer, or are you interested in installers for Windows, Linux and Solaris as well? We provide a DVD image for download which contains all these installers (the Mac installers are for both Intel macs and PPC Macs, so it covers even the older machines (provided they are running at least OSX 10.3.9). The DVD is available through Bit Torrent, or I could send you a direct URL if you prefer FTP or HTTP. Please let me know your preference. > Hi, > > My name is Anna Gilewska and I've been working for Polish publisher > house HELION S.A. as an assistance of editor. > In general, we are publishing computers books.
