This answer is not helpful. It would be less effort and more useful to
either give him the info he requested or tell him "it depends on ... the
SCSI standard is available at ..." or something similar.
This is not a common question which everyone should be expected to
know, and RTFM answers are not appropriate responses to reasonable
questions.
