I think the problem is with this line.
> /etc/lilo.conf
> append = "sr0=ide-scsi max_scsi_luns=1"
First remove this line from lilo.conf. and rerun the lilo command.
Next see which ide interface is your bus cable connected from the
Mboard to the CDRW. it is either ide1 or ide2. If it is on the ide2 interface
then type this at the LILO prompt
LILO: linux "hd?=ide-scsi"
(? is hdb or hdc or hdd)
One of these should work. After confirmation add the append line in
/etc/lilo.conf and rerun lilo command
