Hi all,

I just released ved-1.5

Ved (visual editor) is a small and very fast screen-oriented
editor that implements a user interface somewhere between vi
and emacs. It is powerful and easy to learn, it has no lim-
itations on line length file-size and the type of characters
that may appear in a file.

on:
        ftp://ved.fokus.gmd.de/pub/unix/ved/

it is my first external source that implements large file
support (LF32 large file summit).

The source (as is) will not compile in large file mode.
If you edit ved/Makefile, you may activate this feature.
I am interested in compilation results from many different OS.

Note that the problem with compiling cdrtools-1.10a08 & cdrtools-1.10a09
on RH-6.2 and SuSE-6.2 has been caused by my attempt to add large file
support. The origial autoconf code (taken from GNU tar) caused problems
with glibc-2.1.3 and has been modified.....

Please help me to improve portability of the large file code.
