[cdrecord] reset option with cdrecord

On Solaris 2.6 machines, has anyone found a bug with the -reset option
of cdrecord?  For example on my system:

/opt/schily/bin/cdrecord dev=4,0 -reset should only reset the CD writer
- should it not? However,
this is not the case as all SCSI devices are reset...
