System is ASUS A7V, Athlon 900MHz, RedHat 6.2. I've tried kernels
2.2.17, 2.2.18, 2.4.0 thru 2.4.2. Data files record just fine, but if I
use/specify audio files the software bombs out before the write light
even blinks on the recorder. As a matter of fact, I can bomb out on an
audio file and immediately achieve success with a data file on the exact
same disk. Following is the output from cdrecord (similar output for
versions 1.10a09 thru a14):
