Hi,

I have a PC/linux and RH 6.0 at work. I had to patch the kernel (2.2.5-15) to
get the SCSI support of the Tekram SCSI card (dc395U) but the latter is now
recognised. The CD writer connected to it (Yamaha 4416 SCSI) can mount and
read CD-ROMs (mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt/dos) but cdrecord wouldn't do
anything with it (although the Yamaha rewriter is on the list of supported
drives).

Everytime I try cdrecord, I get the error 'can't open /dev/pg2 device. Try
with -scanbus option. etc ...'

Has anyone got that error too and got that problem sorted ? I used both
cdrecord 1.9 and a fresh compile of 1.10 (sources as of today), but no joy :(

I searched the net with reference to cdrecord and /dev/pg2 but very we pages
showed up.
