According to the cdrlabs review the new Double Density CDR-W discs use the
same file system (ISO9660) but the Sony drive narrows the "track pitch"
(from 1.6 to 1.1 micron) and shortens the "pit length" (from 0.833 to 0.623
micron). It uses the same laser wave length but it slows the "scanning
velocity" (from 1.2 - 1.4 m/s to about 0.9 m/s) so it can write to them.

I don't understand these technical specs but does this mean my CDR-W drive
can not write to these new double density disks? Or is there a way to
configure cdrecord or use the Sony modified (Prassi's CD Right) software to
get my drive to write to these new discs?
