Hello to schilling. Good to hear from you.
Thank-you for making this fine cdrecord software.
Everything works from the word go.
It compiles out of the box.
That makes you miles ahead of most linux software developers.
Especially you are miles ahead of those frantic kids who are
trying to invent new wheels.
I am using cdrecord for years now and I want to let you know that you
are probably the best software developer in the open source area.
I say that because your packages compile.
That is the number one job and you pass with colours flying.
I have tried many, many packages and tarballs and there is usually
something missing that makes it stop or give an error.
I wish the linux kids would follow your makefiles in order to make
portable software. I am just a linux user, not a writer of code. I
wish those linux kids could follow your lead and make releases that have
all the necessary packages included in the release.
No complaints over here.
I hope the infrastructure over there gets upgraded
for the coming apocalypse:)
Cheers, Bill Bennet.
