I'm not sure if mentioned this, but the "slow hard drive" 
problem also exists using the other SCSI CDRW, the Yamaha 
8424sz.  So the solution would be....  taking out both drives?  
I will be more than happy to remove the Yamaha since I've had 
some bad burns with it.  Will that solve it?
