i have a dvd recorder that uses a firewire (ieee 1394) port to communicate and was wondering if it is possible to get cdrecord to burn dvds via the firewire port. i know that to use ide there has to be a scsi emulation layer, and was wondering if the same thing is needed for firewire to work, if so can you offer any info or pointers about finding more about such emulators for this option. thank you. also please respond directly since i am not currently on the list.
