Hi Everybody,
I was trying to configure rscsi and tried to give
command cdrecord dev=REMOTE:rscsi@pc101 -scanbus
from remote machine. I am getting two types of error
1.Address already in use
2.No such file or directory
I tried so many things as per understanding now
totally confused what all things I did..
1. Installed cdrtool-1.9 for my redhat linux 7.1
kernel 2.4.13
2. copied cdrecord and rscsi to /usr/bin
3. chmod 4777 /usr/bin/cdrecord /usr/bin/rscsi
4. adduser rscsi passwd rscsi
5. edit /etc/passwd
changed '/bin/bash to /bin/rscsi' for user rscsi
6. vi /etc/default/rscsi
- set 'USER=rscsi'
- set 'ACCESS=rscsi pc100 -1 -1 -1 -1'
note: client is pc100, my server is pc101
7. vi /home/rscsi/.rhosts
- added 'pc100 rscsi'
- added 'pc100 root'
8. chmod 666 /dev/scd0
9. note cdrecord -scanbus on pc101 detects cd-r on
0,0,0 and i am able to read and write locally.
