Good gried! You are person who tells people they are running obsolete software when they aren't running unreleased stuff from your personal ALPHA directory! How about: ==> /proc/scsi/sg/version <== 30122 Version: 3.1.22 (20011208) Which is four months old. NOTE: I am not saying that this will cure anything, because I don't have your hardware. But I would at least try something recent before posting to a large list one of your usual "Linux sucks" tirades. I bet you're not running the current PCMCIA package (3.1.33) either! You always say that cdrecord can't see into the future, how about running a kernel and support software newer than the hardware you ask it to support? You also didn't provide the information about kernel or package PCMCIA support. Are you using the built-in kernel support or the modules created by the pcmcia package? And did you do a necessary config changes? The kernel vs. package stuff uses different names if you build as modules, IMHO because someone had their head... um, because someone didn't forsee the problems of having a config file for more than one kernel. -- -bill davidsen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "The secret to procrastination is to put things off until the last possible moment - but no longer" -me -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
