Yesterday evening I made a coaster again with cdrecord :( It's at least the third of such coasters already.
The problem: I give an image to cdrecord. Cdrecord computes remaining sectors, this is positive (about 1255 yesterday). Everything is OK, start writing. Writing successfull. Fixating. Boom! No room for fixating, no seek complete. The disk is too full for fixating. I understand that cdrecord checks available data space an not the space needed for fixating. Still, I as the user want it to check whether the write would be successful, not whether the data part would fit. Is it possible to make cdrecord account the space needed for fixating too? If not, why? Is there a certain fixed amount of data needed for fixating (so I could add it by hand and see it its larger than sectors remainig)? --- Meelis Roos ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
