I'm using a plextor USB cdrw on my RH 7.3 system, and it just worked. Auto
detected and everything. I was blown away.
not sure about RH7.2, but I wouldn't think that there would be many issues
there either.
It will show up as a scsi device.
Note that if your motherboard only supports usb 1.1 then the writing will be
slow (but the plextor has "burn proof", so that allows for the slowness of usb
1.1)
