dvd+rw-tools 5.10.4.5.4 are available for download at usual location, http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/. This update comprises mostly changes based on feedback from GUI front-end developers. Besides those update addresses following issues:
- NEC multi-format firmware timeouted performing OPC on some media; - when DVD-RW Restricted Overwrite procedure was applied to Linux kernel equipped with DVD+RW kernel patch (some distributions include it), volume descriptors were not [under certain circumstances] copied at first take, but it worked second time; - FreeBSD fdescfs inconvenience: if devfs is mounted, fdescfs was expected to be mounted too; - -overburn inconvenience: if -overburn option is misspelled, an iso-image was dumped in the current working directory; As for Linux 2.6. Last ide-cd SG_IO issue (see the above URL for further details) was finally addressed in "last minute" prior first 2.6 cut. Feel encouraged to [test-]run the toolchain against /dev/hdX(*) directly, but do fetch 2.6.0-testN or at the very least 2.5.75-bk3. (*) you have to disengage "ide-scsi route" first; note that cdrecord 2.x should work with dev=/dev/hdX as well... A. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
