Hello. I have a 'HL-DT-ST' 'RW/DVD GCC-4240N' '0111' Removable CD-ROM combo cdwriter in my laptop. The cdwriter is certified for 24x burning, but cdrecord only lets it burn in 4x mode for most cdbrands. I have tried 5-6 brands of cds, and te poorest quality brands is the ones that it will alow to burn more than 4x.
I think this is a bug in cdrecord. Coult you look into it, and please send me a mail if there is any more information I should extract for you. I enclose this file with cdrecord output from the different cdbrands I have tried. Thank you very much in advance. H�vard.
