I have a Pioneer DVD-109 with the latest firmware (1.55) With k3b and growisofs (dvd+rw-tools-5.21.4.10.8) I can successfully burn at any speed any media that I have tried except when I try to burn 1-4X DVD-R media at 1X speed. The burning process always fails with the output: /usr/bin/growisofs -Z /dev/hdc=/home/schubert/dvda/image.iso -use-the-force-luke=notray -use-the-force-luke=tty -dvd-compat -speed=1 builtin_dd if=/home/schubert/dvda/image.iso of=/dev/hdc obs=32k seek=0 :-? the LUN appears to be stuck writing LBA=800h, retry in 0ms :-[ [EMAIL PROTECTED] failed with SK=2h/ASC=04h/ACQ=08h]: Resource temporarily unavailable
This happens with various branded quality DVD-R, at 1X only. I have tried some DVD-RW and no problem burning them at 1X. BTW cdrecord-prodvd burns fine DVD-R at 1X also.
