Hi, sorry this is probably off topic. Although my favourite OS is Linux, I do need Windows from time to time. Can anybody recommend a (preferably free) backup solution of a Windows partition directly to DVD ? Since I use a dual boot system I can do the backup either from Win2000 or from Linux since I've have configured my Windows to use FAT-partitions only. In the past, I've made the experience that just backuping up all files (like tar + (cdrecord/growisofs)) doesn't suffice. Probably some files are location dependent.
