Is there a solution to this?
Don't back up the log files... There are several options which allow you
to exclude things, check the man page.
The problem is that I do want to backup the log files as I did before.
For now I downgraded mkisofs to the previous versions.
I was just wondering if I'm the only one bitten by this.
Because ISO filesystems are created before being written, a file which
changes size can't be backed up properly, at best you get some truncated
initial part, at worst you get an invalid ISO filesystem. I would be
tempted to patch the mkisofs to warn instead of stop, at least
optionally, but I doubt that Jörg will make that part of the official
version. The patch is reasonable easy to do, or so it seems.
