Seems like I just fell over an old problem again:
mkisofs: Implementation botch. Video pad for file VTS_01_0.IFO is -6
mkisofs: Either the *.IFO file is bad or you found a mkisofs bug.
Discussed in 2002:

DVD layout created with some M$ tool (I can find out which if needed).
DVD plays fine elsewhere. I want to remaster it and copied files to hard
disk; unless there was an error copying the files (very unlikely) the
files on DVD would have to be correct + functional. All files:
96 2006-06-27 00:35:30 .
48 2006-05-30 08:23:58 AUDIO_TS
304 2006-05-30 08:23:58 VIDEO_TS
65536 2006-05-30 08:23:58 VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.BUP
65536 2006-05-30 08:23:58 VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO
655360 2006-05-30 08:20:07 VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB
65536 2006-05-30 08:23:58 VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.BUP
65536 2006-05-30 08:23:58 VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO
1024198656 2006-05-30 08:23:26 VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB
1024434176 2006-05-30 08:23:45 VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_2.VOB
734255104 2006-05-30 08:23:58 VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB
If you want help, pack together IFOs and post the archive. Given that
you've posted VOB sizes it's possible to "reproduce" layout by creating
empty files in place for VOBs and copying IFOs to BUPs. But no
guarantees that it will be looked into in timely fashion (rather
contrary:-) A.
