There is no need to check, cdrecord has no such problems ;-)
The only known problems are with older mainboards and completely filling up
DVD with 16x-18x writing. This is bacause older boards may not be able to
read and deliver sustained 23 MB/s. The cdrecord DMA test at the beginning
should detect this problem early.
