Liberty University Debate
Assistant Debate Coach-2 positions available
Liberty University invites interested individuals to apply for
the job of Assistant Debate Coach to start August 1, 2007. This is a
staff position that includes day-to-day responsibilities over the
activity of a competitive policy debate program. The assistant coach
is responsible for assisting the director of debate and other members
of the coaching staff managing team research, the development of team
strategies, the development of individual debate and research skills
of team members, the coaching of novice, junior varsity, and varsity
debaters, traveling to tournaments, listening to and critiquing
practice debates, and assisting in the hosting of the Liberty
University Debate Tournament. Teaching at the Liberty University High
School Debate Institute is optional.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have an undergraduate degree and significant
knowledge of and experience in policy debate. Applicants should also
be in basic agreement with the general religious positions of Liberty
University.

Salary:
The Assistant Debate Coach is a staff position that includes all
benefits afforded to the faculty and staff of Liberty University
including health care coverage, 503 (c) retirement matching program,
life insurance, and continuing education funding for classes at Liberty
or another university.
The starting salary for this position is $24,000.00 per ten months
with the ability for additional salary income from the Liberty
University High School Debate Institute.
