I am willing to put together a panel proposal for the second topic on public debates. I envision it mostly as a roundtable on experiences in putting on public debates and ways to effectively incorporate public debates into university pedagogy. If folks have specific abstracts or paper proposals, we could also do it as a traditional panel.
I would also be willing to moderate/chair the panel, but would probably have more success getting it accepted if someone else would chair. Let me know - I have to teach until about 8 pacific time tonight, but I can crank it out between 8 and midnight if there is interest. Let me know.
