IIRC, at the time, I wasn't sure it worked on CE5. Now I am. I'm quite sure debugging/stepping over things with gdbserver/gdb is much better than with the older port. GDB's testsuite doesn't show any serious failure. In any case, even if there are problems, we can fix them. I'm surelly not going to fix any problems in that older, ugly, hacky port, so it was a dead end anyway. :-) Well, you removed it already, so, big yay!
