Hi,

There are some differences between the ARM and x86 checks:
checking if /home/build/ACE/cegcc/cegcc/src/scripts/arm/gcc/./gcc/xgcc
static flag -static works... yes
checking if /home/build/ACE/cegcc/cegcc/src/scripts/i386/gcc/./gcc/xgcc
static flag -static works... no

checking command to parse
/home/build/ACE/cegcc/cegcc/src/scripts/i386/gcc/./gcc/nm output... failed
checking command to parse
/home/build/ACE/cegcc/cegcc/src/scripts/arm/gcc/./gcc/nm output... ok

The arm has additionally for libstdc++-v3 which isn't there for x86
checking for C compiler default output file name... a.exe
checking whether the C compiler works... yes
checking whether we are cross compiling... yes
checking for suffix of executables... .exe

Seems that some of the autoconf checks are not enabled for i386 for
libstdc++-v3
