For the 1.4 public announcement I would like to make a page similar to the release page that Blender uses:
http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-250/ I scanned through all logs between 1.2 and 1.4 and for CS I found the following major changes: Crystal Space: - Walktest demo cleaned up a lot. - Easier api to create meshes from code. - Thing mesh is now deprecated. Use genmesh. - Python/java bindings are modularized. - New translator plugin. - Totally rewritten and improved bullet physics plugin. - Many improvements to the lighter2 utility. - New terrain2 plugin. - Documentation updates. - New collection concept to replace the old and badly implemented region concept. - New animesh plugin. - New speex plugin. - New 'openal' plugin. - New collada support. - New svg loader. CEL: - Better camera and movement system. - Support for creation python based property classes. - Totally new messaging system. - New phylosophy: don't use behaviours but instead implement everything using (custom) property classes. - Support for dynamic and expression parameters in quest system. - New steering and pathfinding property classes. First. If you know of features in 1.4 that I missed and that were not in 1.2 the please tell me. Second. For a few of these I will write a good description myself but if you are the author (or feel otherwise inclined) of a module above then can you send me a short description of the modules above? In particular I think Xordan has a few modules on the list above :-) For each of these modules I would also like to add a picture. This can be a screenshot (or part of a screenshot). Or else a picture that describes the feature in some way. If you happen to have something or can make something then please send it to me too.
