Hi all, I'm back from Berlin, from the workshop on "Design and Engineering of Game-like Virtual and Multimodal Environments" (http://research.edm.uhasselt.be/~craymaekers/deng-ve/), where the paper on CS and CEL was presented.
The workshop was interesting, it was a good opportunity to present CS to academic people working in the domain of video games and virtual reality. The attendees were interested by the capacities of CS, by its degree of achievement, and by the many solutions that have been found for all the problems that can be met while designing such a big project. The comments were positive and CS was qualified as 'impressive'. I added the published academic paper on the web site, on the developer documentation page (http://www.crystalspace3d.org/main/Programming#Academic_papers).
