I have briefly discussed this with Shane and Poul, and we also came to 
the conclusion that it would be best to make a new model. I'm not sure 
if we should present it to the user as typing an equation for a trace, 
because allowing this complicates the graph UI for the users (and it 
also complicates the relationship between the CellML and what is seen in 
the user interface, which is probably not good for usability). However, 
we definitely need to work on making it easier to set up models which 
import other models in the UI.
