Celtic and Old English Saints 2 July =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= * St. Swithun of Winchester =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
St Swithun Rose Very large open cupped blooms filled with frilly petals in a lovely soft pink, fading to white at the edge of the flowers. Vigorous bushy growth with large disease resistant foliage. Strong myrrh fragrance. 1.5m tall x 1.2m. This is a recently bred David Austin Rose (one of the old fashioned "Austin roses") It has the shape and the good health and the intense perfume of an Old Rose. Anybody growing it? Highly recommended. Fr Ambrose -oOo- - -
