Hi everyone, I just released a first alpha version of centerim 5.0. It is a complete rewrite based on libpurple. Currently its possible to edit your accounts and chat with your buddies on all protocols supported by libpurple.
You can download the source tarball from our website [1]. The file HACKING in this tarball gives some hints on how to get it running. CenterIM 5.0 also has its own wiki page [2]. There you can see a screenshot of what this version looks like, amongst other things. I hope this release will get you interested enough to start contributing.
