It is not clear why Red Hat (and CentOS too), so weak responds to changes of important packages. In this case the question: how to upgrade to PHP 5.2.5 correctly? 1. make ... etc. 2. or go search rpms/rpm in private repositories (for example: http://www.jasonlitka.com/2007/11/16/upgrading-to-php-525-on-rhel-and-centos/ )? -- wbr
