I should have stated that SELinux is disabled.

Here is a listing:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# lsattr /boot/grub/grub.conf
----i-------- /boot/grub/grub.conf

[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# ls -ls /boot/grub/grub.conf
4 -rw------- 1 root root 2057 Mar 27 2006 /boot/grub/grub.conf

Nothing in the audit directory and messages looks ok.

Centos 5 Old kernal that's why I want to upgrade :)

2.6.9-34.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Mar 8 00:27:03 CST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Thanks again
