You point base *and* updates to http://mirror.example.com/centos/$releasever/{os,updates}/$basearch That way you'll go to 5.2 with the next "yum update". Remember: There is *NO* 5.0 anymore, there is *NO* 5.1 anymore, it is CentOS5 with the current set being at point release 5.2. And then 5.3, 5.4, 5.5 - it is all CentOS 5. Ralph
