same issue as previously stated see http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/5.5/updates/i386/repodata/ for instance or any failing mirror versus http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5.5/updates/i386/repodata/ The metadata are not in sync on public mirrors, there is not much I can do.
